Arlington Veterans to Honor Afghanistan and Iraq Casualties on Veterans Day
American Legion Post 139, supported by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3150, will mark this year’s Veterans Day at the Clarendon War Memorial in Arlington on Monday, November 11 beginning at 1 PM. The public is strongly encouraged to attend this year’s unveiling of a temporary memorial plaque dedicated
to the memory of those service members with close ties to Arlington lost in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. This
temporary plaque symbolizes the commitment of Arlington’s veterans to raise the funds required to place a permanent marker similar to those from
prior conflicts that are displayed on the memorial.
The fallen service members to be honored are:
Chief Joel Baldwin, U.S. Navy
CPT Michael Cassidy, U.S. Army
L/CPL Niall Coti-Sears, U.S. Marine Corps
SPC Adam Kuligowski, U.S. Army
2LT Sean O’Connor, U.S. Army
LTC James Walton, U.S. Army
The Clarendon War Memorial is located at the Clarendon
Metro Station in Arlington at the crossroads of Washington,
Wilson, and Clarendon Boulevards.
