Why Did Thousands of People Lose Power Saturday Night?

It wasn't the thunderstorms or rain this time.

snake slithered into a Dominion Virginia Power substation in Arlington late Saturday night, causing thousands of people to lose power, according to WTOP. 

Dominion Virginia Power reported about 10,000 people without power in Arlington, Alexandria and part of Fairfax County. Power was restored to everyone before 3 a.m.
