Metro: Bottled Water OK Through Sunday

Exception to no-drinking policy made due to extreme heat.

Bottled water will be allowed on buses, trains and in stations due to the extreme heat, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority announced today.

The exception to Metro's policy that prohibits food and drinks applies to bottled water only.

It will remain in effect through Sunday night.
