Pentagon City Mall Upgrades, Renovations Coming
Simon Property Group may be considering residences and more for a revitalized Fashion Centre at Pentagon City.
Call 2013 the year of the shopping mall renaissance in Arlington: The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is slated to undergo renovations that could include the addition of residences or office space, according to mall owner Simon Property Group. Just last week, Forest City Washington revealed plans to redevelop Ballston Common Mall. Simon Property Group spokesman Les Morris did not give any specific information about the Pentagon City mall, but told Washington Business Journal in an interview, “Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is one of our top-performing properties, so obviously it’s part of the mix (of planned renovations).” The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City was built in 1989 and renovated in 2002.
