The big finale of the Twilight Saga needs no help from anyone beyond their fans, thank you very much. You need but look to the scores of Twihards who lined up at movie theaters around the world over a week before the premiere. These fans can rest easy. Director Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters, Dreamgirls) gives them exactly what they expect. For the rest of the planet, it feels cliched and fangless until a rousing last act climbs so over the top it makes it almost worth the price of admission. The plot centers on concern that the old guard of vampires in charge, the Volturi, may want to eliminate what they see as a threat in Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward's (Robert Pattinson) newborn little girl. My boyfriend and I popped in there last night to test the waters and see what the fuss was all about. I chose not to make a reservation (because it was Monday night) and decided we’d just wing it and see what our odds were at 7pm. We arrived to a warm atmosphere and were greeted immediately by a super smiley, well-dressed and enthusiastic hostess, who proceeded to hand our menus to what looked to be a manager who sat us at a table for two (or a two-top in restaurant terms). I agree with Krista on every point but the staff - our waiter was exceedingly prompt and courteous (and pretty cute). But the space itself is corporate bland (feels like a midrange chain hotel lounge), and is not configured well for the large crowds that appear to descend for happy hour specials.
