Police: Man Pulls Gun on Group Who Hit His Car with a Ball

The following information was released by the Arlington County Police Department.

Malicious Wounding A man pulled a gun on a group who had accidently struck his car with a ball, according to the Arlington County Police Department.  It took place at about 3 a.m. on Saturday in the 3300 block of North Wilson Boulevard. According to police, three friends walking home from a bar were throwing a ball between them when the ball struck a moving car. The driver pulled over, took out a gun, and struck one of them in the cheek with the firearm, police report. The driver fled the area, and the victim was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries, police report. The driver is about 5 foot 10, has a mustache and a thin build, according to police. Peeping Tom A woman reported seeing a man looking through her living…

Crime Report: Man Passes Out in Condo Lobby and More

The Arlington County Police Department has released the following incident reports.

Unlawful Entry A man entered the lobby of a condominium building over the weekend and passed out, according to police. The incident occurred between 2 and 7:40 a.m. Sunday at the complex in the 3600 block of North 10th Street. The lobby door and a couch sustained damage. The man wore a red Nationals hat and an orange Virginia Tech sweatshirt at the time, according to police. The man was described as in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. Burglary A Reston man is accused of breaking into a car repair shop garage and trying to ram the car through the bay door to get away. The Arlington County Police Department reports that it received a call about a burglary in progress at 1:42 a.m. on Feb. 7 in the 6900 block of North Lee Highway. …

Police: Cyclist Punched While Trying to Retrieve Stolen Bike

The Arlington County Police Department released the following information about incidents through Wednesday.

Robbery A man who tried to retrieve what he believed was his stolen his bike was punched in the face, according to the Arlington County Police Department. The incident took place at 10:26 a.m. Jan. 17 in the 2700 block of North Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon, Authorities said. Police said the man spotted what he believed to be his stolen bike on the front rack of a bus. The man put his new bike on the front rack of the bus and boarded the bus, police said. When he got off of the bus, he removed both his new bike and the allegedly stolen bike from the front rack. The victim was confronted by a man who punched him in the face and stole the man's new bike, according to police. The victim took a photo of his attacker, who is about 35 years old…

Crime Report: Man Punched in Face for Cell Phone

The following information was supplied by the Arlington County Police Department.

Robbery A man had his cell phone stolen after two men asked him to borrow it, according to police. The victim told police he was getting off a bus at 2 p.m. Saturday and two men followed him. The men asked him to use his phone. The victim said he didn’t have one, but the men continued to follow him for a few blocks, police report. Eventually, the suspects asked to use the man’s phone again, and when victim again said no, one of the suspects grabbed the victim’s left hand and twisted it backwards. The second man punched him in the face, according to police. The pair took the victim's phone and ran away. One of the robbers wore a striped purple shirt and the other wore a black shirt. Crime Report: Attempted Robbery at Gateway Park and More

The following information was supplied by the Arlington County Police Department for incidents through Wednesday.

Attempted Robbery A 49-year-old man was charged with attempted robbery after getting in an argument over money at Gateway Park, according to the Arlington County Police Department.  Jeffery Johnson, of Arlington, approached the victim at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the park in the 1300 block of North Lee Highway, according to police. Johnson and the victim got in an argument over money, and police said he struck the victim in the face before fleeing. Johnson was arrested and is being held without bond. Burglary Several pieces of jewelry were taken from a home in the 1600 block of North George Mason Drive sometime between 5 p.m. on Jan. 2 and 12:32 p.m. Tuesday, according to police. Crime Report: Burglar Eats Meal, Showers During Break-In — And More

Burglary A thief showered and ate food at the home he burglarized, according to police. Sometime between 3 a.m. Dec. 21 and 10 p.m. Dec. 29, the burglar entered the home in the 800 block of South 22nd Street, police report. The burglar is believed to have broken into the same home on New Year's Eve. No suspect description is available. Malicious Wounding A fight on a Clarendon sidewalk ended with a man getting a deep cut to his head, according to police. The fight broke out between two men at 12:30 a.m. New Year's Day along the 3000 block of North Wilson Boulevard, according to police. Crime Report: Six Arrested in Ballston Fight

The following arrest information was supplied by the Arlington County Police Department.

Six people were arrested after a large fight broke out in Ballston earlier this week, according to the Arlington County Police Department. The incident occurred at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 4200 block of North Wilson Boulevard. Mitchell Thach Khlock, 22, of Springfield, was charged with obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, malicious wounding, and assault and battery. Smeth Snguon, 33, of Sterling, and Vireak Snguon, 30, of Arlington, were  charged with assault by mob. Saloeun Chea, 28, of Alexandria, was charged with malicious wounding and assault by mob. Crime Report: Man Robbed While Walking from Bus Stop and More

The following information was reported by the Arlington County Police Department through Wednesday.

Top Crime Stories of the Week: Robbery A man was robbed of $60 and his cell phone while walking home from a bus stop, according to police. The incident occurred at 11 p.m. Friday in the 3400 block of S. 23rd St. Two men approached the victim. One was between 25 and 30 years old, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. The second man was about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 160 pounds.   Burglary A victim woke up at 3:30 a.m. Sunday to find someone inside his apartment taking items. The victim chased the burglar down his apartment hallway in the 1300 block of South Scott Street, but the burglar fled and took an iPad, laptop, cellphone, cash and credit cards. Crime Report: Man Charged in Robbery

The following arrest information was reported by the Arlington County Police Department.

The following incidents were reported Wednesday by the Arlington County Police Department.   Robbery A 33-year-old man was arrested after police said he pushed a man to the ground, kicked him in the chest, and stole his cell phone, according to the Arlington County Police Department.   Sorrell Tyree Carter, of Alexandria, was charged with robbery. The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of Four Mile Run Drive, according to police. Carter allegedly accosted the victim where he worked. He was held without bond.   Burglary Someone broke into a home in the 2900 block of South Woodstock Street and stole prescription drugs, according to police.
