Update: Roads Reopen Following Chemical Spill in Rosslyn
Closures lasted more than three hours.
Update (3:29 p.m.): Arlington County police and fire officials are in the process of clearing the scene and reopening roads in Rosslyn, fire Capt. Gregg Karl stated in an email. Karl still could not describe the type of chemical that was spilled. Original story (1:01 p.m.): The 1400 block of Wilson Blvd in Rosslyn and surrounding streets will be closed due to an emergency response, according to Arlington County. The closures went into effect shortly after noon and could last several hours. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
