Definitely recommend the studio. They were very accommodating in helping expedite my album package to meet a deadline! Staff is friendly and professional. I experienced some slight delays in my first attempt to get an appt but everything following that was very smooth!!

A studio stationed in historic old town Alexandria, Capital Boudoir houses 2 experienced and professional photographers, Mike and John. Allison, Gina and Amber are the make-up artists here. The photographers capture intimate pictures of mostly women in lingerie. The aim is to inspire confidence and showcase beauty for a client's significant other or for personal keepsake. The studio has had more than 150 shoots and has been graced by both experienced and inexperienced female models, male models and couples.

I bought a Groupon recently that included two outfits and makeup. It was so worth it. I've always wanted to do a professional photo shoot and I couldn't beat the price. Everyone was so helpful, from the time I started asking them questions on facebook to reviewing my photos. Gina did an amazing job with my makeup and picking out the right colors for my skin tone and outfits. Then Carrie did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable in front of the camera and getting me to let loose a little! I would definitely recommend them! Now I'm all excited to think of outfits and poses to do for a second photo shoot!!!
I bought a bloomspot coupon last fall that included two outfit changes and two downloadable prints. It was a great deal and I was interested in taking pictures for a wedding boudoir shoot for my soon to be husband. Carrie was my photographer and she did such a great job in making me comfortable...especially with the poses (because I didn't know what I was doing). She was great and the pictures turned out great! I definitely would recommend it to anyone because they are professional and really great to work with!
Although I was nervous when I showed up at the studio, I had a great experience with Capital Boudoir. Mike helped me get over my nerves and have a lot of fun. I had my hair and makeup done as well, and the look for the pictures turned out great. I booked the package as a present for my husband, and he and I both love the final product, and had a hard time narrowing down photos to keep from the whole shoot!
After my wife did a shoot for herself, we know immediately that we had to do a shoot together! Capital Boudoir is such a great place to have some intimate shots taken together. John makes you extremely comfortable and is great to work with. The pictures came out amazing for both shoots. The worst part about it is narrowing down which pictures you are going to keep!
What an amazing experience! I am very shy and self conscious, but Mike did an excellent job making you feel very comfortable and really allows you to have a good time. He really makes the shoot all about you and customizes the pictures to fit exactly what you are looking for! The pictures are sexy but very classy and tasteful. The customer service and quality of the end product are very satisfactory. I would definately do this again with Capital Boudior!
I had a great experience at Capital Boudoir! I booked my photo shoot as a wedding present for my soon-to-be husband. I wasn't nervous when I booked the session, but as it grew closer I started to feel unsure about the whole thing. Everyone at Capital Boudoir was great, they were very responsive to my multiple email questions before the session and Carrie was wonderful at helping me choose outfits when I arrived.
I can't believe my photos turned out so good, and can't wait to see the look on my fiance's face when he sees them!
Capital Boudoir was a great experience. I wasn't really nervous until I got to the studio and it became 'real'. Mike was great at getting me to 'loosen up' and had good ideas for poses that the session just flowed.
Being one of those people who hates all the pictures ever taken of her; I was ecstatic to see how amazing these pictures came out! I love them! I'm having a hard time narrowing it down to just 10. I'd definitely recommend Capital Boudoir... and who knows, it was such fun, I may be back ;)
Capital Boudoir was a great experience! I would recommend it to any of my friends who are interested in getting boudoir pics. Mike and Carrie helped me relax when I arrived. Carrie was awesome and was extremely patient and creative with her pictures! I loved how my pics turned out!
Shooting these photos was a fantastic experience. I was a bit nervous about doing something like this but Mike and Gina made this almost seem easy for me. Gina is an excellent hair and make-up artist. She made me look beautiful and classy without looking overdone. And as for Mike, he knows his craft! I'm not a photographer but I know how difficult it can be to get a person to relax and get the best out of them. He made me look amazing and then he went back and used editing to make me look like a knock out. He made this a very good experience for me and kept it chill and classy. I highly recommend doing a boudoir shoot whether it's just for yourself or someone special and I would recommend that you try Capital Boudoir.
I LOVED my experience at Capital Boudoir! I decided to do a shoot as a fun way to embrace turning 40 and I'm SO glad I did. The entire staff is wonderful. John scheduled my photo shoot and provided me with all the information I needed to prepare. Gina did my hair and make up beautifully. Mike is exceptional! He is not only incredibly professional and talented, but also very personable and fun. I had a blast! The pictures are beautiful.....classy, sexy and greatly exceeded my expectations.
