Where's the Best View of the DC Fourth of July Fireworks in Arlington?

Stay in Arlington to view the 2013 Washington, D.C., National Fireworks Show. Here are the best viewing locations in Arlington.

Those who don't want to venture into Washington to see the fireworks show along the National Mall can stay right here in Arlington and get a great view with smaller crowds.

According to Arlington County:

The popular spots here to watch the annual Fourth of July fireworks in Washington are the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima) and areas along the Potomac River (accessible via the George Washington Memorial Parkway).

Long Bridge Park - 
Along the north end of Crystal City. You can get there from the Mount Vernon Trail, but it's also easily accessible from the Metro's Crystal City stop, bus or driving. 

Air Force Memorial - On a hill off of Columbia Pike at . You can take Metro to Pentagon or Pentagon City, park at Navy Annex or park at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City and walk over. Parking closes at 7:30 p.m. at some locations, so get there early. 

Gateway Park in Rosslyn - The park, near the Rosslyn Metro station, also offers good, unobstructed views of the DC fireworks show.

Gravelly Point Park
 - Just north of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Parking is limited.

Key Bridge
- Note that there is no sitting on the bridge or roadway allowed, but you can stand along the sidewalks if you get there early. 

Pentagon Reservation
- There are strict guidelines in place to watch from here. You can read about Pentagon Reservation guidelines here.
