Caps Alumni to Play in Hockey Charity Event

The event is in September.

Washington Capitals alumni will face off against local teams at the Charity Hockey Classic in September.

The event benefits Inova Blood Donor Services, which provides services to 15 hospitals and medical centers in the metro D.C. area. The Capitals alumni will play against three local teams: the Booz Allen Minutemen, Northern Virginia Law Enforcers and Coaching Cardinals. They'll face off at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 9.

The roster for the Capitals alumni team is still being assembled.
