Arlington Public Schools Makes Snow Day Announcement for Wednesday

Students have missed two days of school this week due to snow and ice.

Here's the latest from APS Tuesday night:

Operations Update for Wednesday, March 5: Arlington Public Schools plans to open on Wed, Mar. 5, but we may have a two-hour delay, depending on refreezing conditions overnight. APS crews will be out at 3 a.m. to assess the situation and we will announce our decision by 5 a.m.

PLEASE NOTE: If there is a delayed opening, there will be no early release for the Early Release elementary schools and those schools will dismiss at their normal, full-day time. If we are able to open on time, the scheduled early releases at those schools will occur.

CONFERENCES: The Elementary Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday, and the Middle School Parent Teacher Conferences on Friday will be held as scheduled.

Please be sure that students are dressed appropriately for the weather and follow safe routes to school.
