First Residents Expected to Move Into Ballston Green This Month

Development is north of Wilson Boulevard between Wakefield and Woodrow streets.

Construction has been steadily progressing at Ballston Green, a new luxury townhome development on Wilson Boulevard.

Sixteen of the 28 townhomes already have been sold, and the first residents should be able to move in later this month.

Ballston Green consists of four buildings. Three of them are between North Wakefield and North Woodrow streets north of Wilson Boulevard, and the fourth is on Wakefield behind the Virginia Tech Research Center — Arlington.

The model townhome is finished and should be open later this month, said Jim Patton, sales manager for Ballston Green.

Each unit has four floors, three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and a two-car garage. Prices start at $899,000. Twelve homes are still available.

Ballston Green is about four blocks from the Ballston Metro Station. It's next to the block that's home to the new Mussel Bar & Grille.

Construction is expected to be completely finished in the first quarter of 2014, Patton said.
