WaPo: Favola received free trips to Germany, China

Board member, Senate candidate said she worked on the trips.

Arlington County Board member and state Senate candidate Barbara Favola took free trips to Germany and China last year, according to the Washington Post.

The $3,443 trip to Germany was paid for Northern Virginia Regional Commission for Favola to learn about transit best practices, the Post reported.

The Asian Pacific Economic Council spent nearly $2,920 to send Favola to China for five days so she could speak about how Arlington was listed as one of the top seven intelligent communities in the world, the Post reported.
