Volunteers to Pull Invasive Plants at Bon Air Park

100 volunteers will turn out.

One hundred volunteers will descend on Arlington’s Bon Air Park today to help rid the park of invasive plans.

The event is part of the county’s Green Corridors initiative, which “works to enhance parks and trials by removing invasive plants and develop a more diverse green scape,” according to a news release from the county.

Cambridge Associates, an Arlington-based consulting firm, will bring staffers from 2 to 5 p.m. to the park at 850 Wilson Blvd. The work could take several hours to complete, according to the county's Department of Parks and Recreation.
