Women’s Equality Day Happy Hour

Please join the Arlington Young Democrats' Women’s Caucus at Velocity 5 in Courthouse for our third annual celebration of Women’s Equality Day, to commemorate the 1920 passage of the 19th amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote, as well as the 1973 court decision giving women the right to choose. 

In traditional fashion, we will be joined by some of Arlington’s elected women: Commissioner of Revenue Ingrid Morroy, Commonwealth's Attorney Theo Stamos, County Board Member Libby Garvey, and State Senator Barbara Favola. We will also hear from Rachael Klarman, the Virginia Director of Women for Obama, on how to use our power this fall to turn out other women to vote in the election.
