Two Women Charged with Prostitution

Police: Women used online solicitation sites.

The Arlington County Police Department investigated reports of prostitution at a hotel in the 3000 block of South Columbia Pike on Friday.

Brianna Jones, 22, of Front Royal, and Tara Jones, 23, of Manassas, were arrested and charged prositution, according to information police released today.

Investigators received a call about suspicious activity in one of the hotel rooms by a hotel employee, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said.

"It was brought to our attention that there was a lot of foot traffic coming out of a certain room," Sternbeck said. "There shouldn't be multiple subjects coming in and out of a room in a short period of time and then other subjects coming in and out."

Police conducted surveillance of the room between 6 and 10 p.m., which led to the arrests.

The women were using online solicitation sites to meet their customers, Sternbeck said.

"That's what they do these days," he said. "They don't use street corners anymore."
