They went to a mutual friend's home in the 2200 block of North Upton Street. She went to sleep on a couch; he went back out drinking with several friends.
Later, the man returned to the home, laid down on the couch with the woman and attempted to have sex with her, Sternbeck said. The woman awoke to find this happening between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police. She asked the man what he was doing, and he got her a glass of water, Sternbeck said. She left.
