Police in Virginia and Maryland are seeking the public’s help in identifying a pair of bandits they say committed a series of recent commercial burglaries in Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax County and Charles County, Md.
In eight known burglaries since July 29, investigators say the two men used force to gain entry into restaurants, including multiple Dunkin' Donuts locations, during early morning hours.
The Alexandria Police Department in a news release pegged four July 31 burglaries in Arlington on the duo, but did not list specifics. At least two Dunkin' Donuts in this county were burglarized in the early morning hours of Aug. 1.
One of the men is said to be about 6-foot-1 and weigh 270 pounds. The other man is described as 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds.
The eight incidents occurred between July 29 and Aug. 3.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about these burglaries or those involved to contact Alexandria Police Detective Thomas Ground at 703-898-4927 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
