Suspect photograph, description released Thursday afternoon.

The Arlington County Police Department today released the name and photograph of a man accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in finding 31-year-old Toribio Antonio Rodriguez-Soriano.

Rodriguez-Soriano is Hispanic, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds, according to a news release. He has black hair and brown eyes.

The suspect is known to the victim and her family, and they last saw him Sunday, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said.

Sternbeck would not say whether the suspect or the victim are Arlington residents. He would not say when the crime allegedly took place, or if it happened more than once over a period of time.

He also would not say how long police have been looking for the individual. Sternbeck did say the family reported the matter to police within the last week.

Investigators have no intention on releasing any further information on this matter in the immediate future, he said.

Police are asking anyone with information on Rodriguez-Soriano to contact Detective Jim Stone of the Arlington County Police Department’s Special Victims Unit at 703-228-4245 or at investigations@arlingtonva.us.
