An armed robbery of a business occurred at about 12:05 p.m. in the 3100 block of South Manchester Street near the Arlington-Fairfax county line. Law enforcement from both counties are searching the perimeter, which includes Carlin Springs and Kenmore. The actual robbery was on the Fairfax County side of the line.

Police are looking for a lone, dark-skinned man in his early 20s, Sternbeck said. He has a medium build, is approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and at the time of the robbery was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with yellow writing or patches on the shoulders and a black mask.

The man should be considered armed, Sternbeck said.
