Police: Elderly Man Assaulted, Left With Fracture Around his Eye
The victim was attacked and found in his bedroom at his home on the 3000 block of N. Lorcom Lane, the Arlington County Police Department reports.
An elderly man was assaulted and found in his bedroom, but is struggling to remember what happened, police said.
The victim, a landlord, was found by his tenant at 8:35 a.m. on Monday at the multi-unit dwelling on the 3000 block of N. Lorcom Lane, the Arlington County Police Department reports.
The tenant found the elderly man incoherent and with an orbital fracture to his right eye. Police were called.
“The victim had trouble providing a time but was seen the night prior by one of the tenants,” said police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck.
Nothing had been reported stolen in the man’s home. Police said that the investigation is ongoing.
At this time police are not connecting the incident to the suspicious death of 87-year-old Mack L. Wood reported last week, Sternbeck said.
