Police: Construction Worker Falls 40 Feet

Arlington County Police said the man was injured Friday.

A 34-year-old construction worker fell 40 feet while working on an unfinished roof, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

The man, who lives in Woodbridge, was taken to George Washington University Hospital for treatment. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, according to Margot Klepetko, spokeswoman for the department.

He was working at 11 a.m. Friday at a construction site in the 3700 block of North 27th Street when he was struck by one of the trusses of a crane and fell, police reported.
