Crime Reports: Robber Brandishes Knife in iPhone Theft

The following are a list of incident reports from the Arlington County Police Department. It is not a complete list of all crimes reported.

Armed Robbery

A boy was walking home when he was robbed by four men wearing ski masks and black clothing, according to the Arlington County Police Department. 

The boy was walking at 9:45 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of South Glebe Road when he was approached by the men, police said.

One of the men brandished a knife and demanded the boy’s iPhone, police reported. The boy handed over the phone and the robbers ran away.

Robbery by Force

A woman was walking to her parked car when a man approached her and forcefully stole her wallet, according to police.

The incident took place at 10:41 p.m. April 11 in the 1400 block of North Herndon Street. The robber is about 25 years old, 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. He wore a plaid shirt and a baseball cap, according to police.

Attempted Robbery

A robber brandished a knife and demanded money from a person sitting on a park bench, according to police.

The incident took place at 10 p.m. April 11 in the 3000 block of South Abingdon Street. When approached, the victim immediately dialed 911 and the robber ran away, police report.

The robber was about 5-foot-7 and had a white shirt pulled over his face at the time, according to police. 

Burglary

A man reported that his laptop was stolen when he got back from a walk around his neighborhood, according to police. The man went for a walk between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. April 11 in the 4600 block of South 34th Street. When he returned, his computer had been stolen from the kitchen.

Burglary

A laptop was stolen from a home between 3 and 8:30 p.m. Saturday from the 700 block of South Ode Street, police report.

Burglary

A laptop and passport were stolen between 7:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday from a home in the 3000 block of North Harrison Street, according to police.
