Crime Report: Woman Chases Man After He Steals iPhone

The following incidents were reported by the Arlington County Police Department.

Robbery

A 20-year-old man is accused of stealing an iPhone from a woman’s apartment, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Durell Adrian Hines, of Maryland, has been charged with robbery. Hines took the phone from the woman’s apartment at 8 p.m. on Feb. 23 in the 1800 block of Crystal Drive, according to police. She chased him to the parking lot, where she was bumped with Hines’ car as he attempted to drive away, according to police.

Hines was found during a traffic stop regarding improper tint on his car about three house later, police said. Hines is being held without bond. 

Burglary

Jewelry and electronics were stolen from a home between 5 p.m. on Feb. 18 and 8:50 p.m. on Feb. 20, when someone entered the locked residence in the 6500 block of North Williamsburg Boulevard, police report.

Burglary

An “open” sign was taken from a restaurant after hours, police report. The sign was stolen sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 20 and 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 21, when someone entered the restaurant in the 500 block of South 23rd Street.

Burglary

Electronics were taken from a home sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. on Feb. 21 in the 2600 block of South Uhle Street, according to police. The person entered the home through a window.

Burglary

Several items were stolen after someone broke into a home, police report. The items were taken between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday from the home in the 800 block of North Irving Street.
