Craigslist Transaction Leads to South Arlington Robbery

Police: Victim drove into Arlington to meet potential buyer.

A man drove into a South Arlington neighborhood Monday night to sell an iPhone to a person who had contacted him on Craigslist and ended up getting robbed of the phone, his wallet and his cash.

Two men robbed the victim in the 2400 block of South Lowell Street in the Nauck community at about 10 p.m. Monday, according to police.

The buyer and seller had communicated through Craigslist and text messages, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said. Through those conversations, the two agreed to meet on Lowell Street.
