Courthouse Plaza Convenience Store Robbed at Knifepoint

Man arrested at nearby Courthouse Metro.

The Arlington County Police Department has charged Antwan Raynor, 26, of Capitol Heights, Md., with one count of armed robbery.

Raynor is accused of robbing the City Market & Deli, 2250 Clarendon Blvd., at knifepoint shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, according to information police released this week.

Raynor allegedly entered the convenience store wearing a grey ski mask, pulled a knife on the clerk and demanded cash from the register, according to police. He then grabbed $222 and ran from the scene.

Officers say they caught the man shortly afterward at the nearby Metro stop. He is being held without bail.
