The incident occurred outside the workplace, police said.
A conversation about productivity turned violent when a supervisor struck his employee in the head with a baseball bat, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
Carlos Guadalupe Lopez Lopez, 26, of Hyattsville, Md., was arrested and charged with malicious wounding in the incident which took place at about 11 p.m. on Sept. 19 on the 2000 block of Langley Street. He is being held without bond.
Police say Guadalupe Lopez Lopez was at his girlfriend’s home speaking with an employee about productivity. The two work at a painting company, said police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck.
