Arlington Police Nab Suspected Bank Robber

Investigation is ongoing.

The Arlington County Police Department announced today the arrest of a suspected bank robber.

Rafi Khan, 23, of Arlington, has been charged with two counts of bank robbery. He was arrested late Thursday in connection with the holdup of a  at 2601 Clarendon Blvd. earlier in the day, and last week.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and other charges may be pending.

"We're certainly looking at him for any bank robberies he might fit," Detective Crystal Nosal said.

Nosal said evidence led investigators to Khan, but would not get into specifics or say whether the money he allegedly stole was recovered. She would not provide his home address.

Khan cooperated with officers when they arrested him, Nosal said.

Investigators do not believe the robberies were related to the holidays.
