Arlington Man, 57, Charged in Stabbing

Derek Warren Straughn, of Arlington, has been charged with malicious wounding, according to police.

A 57-year-old Arlington man allegedly stabbed another man when an argument got out of hand this weekend.

Derek Warren Straughn has been charged with malicious wounding, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Straughn and the victim got into a verbal argument at about 8 p.m. Saturday outside of an apartment building in the 1200 block of South Courthouse Road, according to police.

The argument escalated, and Straughn stabbed the victim, according to police. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His injuries were not life threatening.

Straughn is being held without bond.
