FCPD utilized chopper, K-9 units to find suspect after he failed to stop for suspected DWI; he crashed car and fled on foot in the middle of the night.

An Arlington man led Fairfax County police on a chase in the overnight hours Saturday.

The incident began on Colshire Drive in McLean, where a police officer attempted to stop the driver of a Toyota Camry, who he suspected was driving while intoxicated.

The driver didn't stop and instead, drove to Anderson Road, where he crashed the car. The man, Matthew Dellinger, 24, then fled on foot from the car.

Police used a helicopter and K-9 units to find the suspect in the 7300 block of Dartford Drive.

Dellinger was charged with DWI and driving on a revoked driver's license.
