IDEAL TIME FOR NEW LEADERSHIP

Imagine the excitement and gratitude many of us feel at the announcement of a strong leader running as an Independent for County Board, a person, like Libby Garvey, who has well developed opinions and policy recommendations.  Thanks to John Vihstadt for stepping up and providing Arlingtonians, including long time Democrats like me, an alternative to the street car, “water park,” million dollar bus stops, and hen houses, to name a few of the “pet projects,” that our Board has embraced over the last few years. 

A person who is not addicted to development and the attendant tax dollars that fuel the above.  A person who will unequivocally redirect our priorities to the things that matter to regular Arlingtonians—the basics—like food, shelter, health care, jobs, education and public safety—while, once again, stopping the grossly excessive spending on too many vanity projects, particularly the water park and streetcar.

Let’s join John and any other future candidates who are willing to rock the Democratic boat in Arlington.  It’s high time for a CHANGE!
