Description
If you knew you had a choice to raise a prima donna or a prime minister, a bully or a humanitarian, would you make the sacrifice? Would you sacrifice indulgence for inspiration, and co-dependence for mentorship?

Sponsored by the Jerry Ziskind Memorial Fund

Jerry Ziskind was a founding member of the Northern Virginia Ethical Society.  We remember him fondly as our friend and the Society's president. Jerry was also an elementary school teacher in Washington, DC and Falls Church, VA. The last 18 years of his 30 year teaching career was as a 1st grade teacher in Falls Church City Public Schools.  He was a beloved teacher who brought gentleness, curiosity and good humor to his  passion for cultivating young minds.

As a tribute to his commitment to the ethical growth and development of children, NoVES established the Jerry Ziskind Memorial Fund.  The Fund's mission is to honor Jerry's legacy by sponsoring Society programs focusing on the growth of ethical behavior in children.   This will be the fourth Memorial Platform; past presenters include Fritz Williams (2008), Arthur Dorbin (2009) and Dale McGowan (2010).
