NOVA to host open house for military community

What:
Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) will host a college-wide open house for active-duty service members, veterans and family members on Nov. 9 at the Annandale Campus.

College advisors will be available to answer questions about NOVA’s academic degrees and certificate programs, its six campuses and three centers, online courses and how to afford college. Prospective students are encouraged to bring filed 2012 tax information for assistance on applying for financial aid.

Information on maximizing veteran benefits, Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA), scholarships and grant opportunities will also be available.

Registration is encouraged. To register, email militaryservices@nvcc.edu. The first 100 to RSVP will be entered into a drawing for a Barnes & Noble Nook e-reader.
