MLK DAY EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

In honor of the national Martin Luther King, Jr.
Day of Service on January 20, 2014,
RSVP-Northern Virginia is teaming up with local
volunteer centers to distribute emergency preparedness information and supplies
in our communities! Three groups of 10-15 volunteers will be teaching residents
in Fairfax County, Arlington County, and the City of Alexandria about how to
prepare themselves for emergencies. Training will be provided. All RSVP
volunteers (and friends) are welcome to participate in this experience and
learn more about emergency preparedness. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

 RSVP-Northern Virginia engages volunteers ages
55+ in meeting critical community needs. The MLK Day of Service is a part of
United We Serve, the President's national call to service initiative. It calls
for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to
our most pressing national problems.
