Embracing Spiritual Awakening: Diana Butler Bass on the Dynamics of Experiential Faith

On Sunday, November 10 at 7 pm, renowned author Diana Butler Bass will speak at a public presentation about the themes of her new book (released in late September 2013) “Embracing Spiritual Awakening: Diana Butler Bass on the Dynamics of Experiential Faith.”   This event is open to the public for a suggested donation of $10.

This is the culminating event of the weekend of November 9 and 10 that Diana Butler Bass will participate in.
On Saturday, November 9, Holy Trinity’s Book Club will have a special monthly meeting welcoming award-winning author Diana Butler Bass to join in the group’s discussion of her 2010 book, “A People's History of Christianity: The Other Side of the Story.”  Everyone is invited, provided that you read the book!  It’s available in local libraries, book stores, and as an e-book.  The brunch begins at 9 am with the discussion beginning at 10.  This event is free and open to the public.
    
On Sunday, November 10 at 10 am, Diana Butler Bass will speak at the Holy Trinity Forum on "Trends and Challenges in Mainline Churches."  This is a topic that she has addressed in numerous interviews and books – including with some DC area examples – notably in her books "Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening  (2012)", and  "Christianity for the Rest of Us: How the Neighborhood Church is Transforming the Faith (2009)." This event is free and open to the public.
