Virginia Hospital Center Named One of Top 100 Hospitals

Truven Health Analytics gave the hospital the award.

Arlington’s Virginia Hospital Center was named one of the top 100 hospitals in the country this week.

Truven Health Analytics, a healthcare analytics firm, chose the hospital based on faculty performance and quantitative research, according to a press release.

The study also named the hospital an Everest Award winner, which recognizes hospitals that have the highest one-year performance and the fastest long-term improvement over a period of five years.

Truven Health researchers evaluated 2,922 short-term, acute care, non-federal hospitals. The winning hospitals were announced in the February 25 edition of Modern Healthcare magazine.
