How Arlington County Deals With Snow

A look at Arlington's snow removal procedures.

With snow expected in Arlington Wednesday, the county's snow removal team, which includes 92 drivers and 46 trucks, is bracing for impact.

  • Arlington has implemented a phase system (phase 1, 2, 3, or 4) to share with residents snow removal efforts and see how to prepare for the winter weather. View snow removal updates.
  • The county also has nearly doubled the number of traffic cameras that monitor road conditions. The snow and ice central page features 40 more cameras this year, for a total of 83 traffic cameras. View current road conditions.
