High Wind Warning in Effect Today

Gusts up to 60mph expected.

NOAA's National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning that will remain in effect until 9pm tonight. Winds will be out of the northwest with sustained speeds of 20 to 30 mph, according to NWS. Gusts will reach up to 60 mph.

From the warning on NWS's website:

"* IMPACTS...BE PREPARED FOR POWER OUTAGES...AND DOWNED TREES AND LARGE BRANCHES. ENSURE LOOSE OBJECTS ON YOUR PROPERTY ARE
SECURED OR BROUGHT INSIDE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE."
