Why Go: As star of the show, Tremolo is full of spectacular skill, knockabout comedy, and classic physical antics, but Plunkett is determined to upstage him! Hilarity ensues as these two mute fools try to prove who is who. Fun for the whole family!

3. Bach to Rock Battle of the Bands IX

Where/When: Doors open at 11 a.m. Saturday (high school division) & 11 a.m. Sunday (middle school division) at the 9:30 Club, 815 V St. NW.

Why Go: Bands from all around will compete to win a chance to record original material in a professional recording studio. The event typically draws more than 1,000 spectators, according to organizers.

Pricing: Tickets are $5 at the door.

4. Baked and Wired Live Music Friday: Sanyou

Where/When: (1052 Thomas Jefferson Street) Friday Jan. 6 at 7:30pm.

Why Go: Check out this instrumental trio who released their first recording just this past fall. See them now so one day you can tell your friends that you knew them before they were famous...
