The weekend is only one day away! How are you going to spend it?

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Stoddert Elementary, Calvert Street and 40th Street NW, Washington.

Why Go: The Stoddert Elementary PTA needs donations of time, supplies and money to help support families in need both within the Stoddert community and beyond. You can help contribute by dropping off school supplies, including backpacks, pencils, glue sticks, crayons and more.

Pricing: Free to attend.

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday at Lou Lou, 1304 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington.

Why Go: According to the event listing, "In an effort to support local women who have suffered through severe poverty and abuse, Lou Lou Boutiques is helping raise awareness of domestic violence and the support of women’s shelters in the region.  The day will include a host of activities from a rare store wide sale (buy one, get one 25 percent off), to prize drawings, a free stylish tote with a $40 purchase, jewelry styling tips, and sweets and treats.  All 10 Lou Lou locations in DC, VA and MD will participate in this event - donating 15 percent of that day’s proceeds to local charities House of Ruth and Bethany House of Northern Virginia."

4. "West Side Story" at Wolf Trap

When/Where: 8:30 p.m. Saturday at , 1645 Trap Road, Vienna.

Why Go: According to the Wolf Trap website, "As the classic film plays on huge screens in-house and on the lawn, the National Symphony Orchestra provides the live orchestral soundtrack, synchronized with the film’s dialogue and vocals. Enjoy the lush beauty and innovative scope of Bernstein and Sondheim’s musical theatre treasure in a powerful new way."

Pricing: Tickets range in price from $20 to $52.

Why Go: This week's feature film is "Head of State," starring Chris Rock, Bernie Mac and Tracy Morgan. Don't forget to bring blankets and popcorn!
