Friday's Weather Forecast: Slight Chance of Showers

The information in this weather forecast is provided by the National Weather Service.

According to the National Weather Service's forecast for Arlington, there's only a 40 percent chance of rain today, with a possibility of a thunderstorm after 11 a.m.

The high today will top out around 75 degrees, dropping down to 59 degrees tonight.

In other weather-related news, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting a busier-than-normal hurricane season. According to a press release that was issued by the administration on Thursday, NOAA is predicting:

  • 12 to 18 named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher), of which:
  • 6 to 10 could become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including:
