Families to Celebrate 'Hanukkah on Ice' at Pentagon Row

Chabad Lubavitch of Alexandria-Arlington plans celebration for Sunday at the Pentagon City Row ice rink.

Children and adults from Arlington celebrating Hanukkah are set to converge on the outdoor ice rink at Pentagon City Row this weekend.

From 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Hanukkah on Ice will begin with Jewish music and classic holiday songs.

Arlington County Fire Chief James Schwartz will light a huge menorah at 7 p.m.

"It is a holiday that enriches our lives with the light of tradition" said Rabbi Mordechai Newman, director of Chabad Lubavitch of Alexandria-Arlington and coordinator of Hanukkah on Ice. "We want to make the spirit of the Hanukkah holiday alive for the kids."

The Pentagon row ice rink is located at 1201 S. Joyce St. in Arlington.

Tickets are $12 at the door and $10 in advance. Ticket prices include skate rental. Food sold separately.
