Arlington Police To Hold Sobriety Checkpoint Friday

The checkpoint is part of the 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' campaign.

Arlington County Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint this Friday.

Police will conduct the checkpoint along with the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers will stop all cars passing through the checkpoint. Any driver suspected of drunken driving may be tested for intoxication.

The maximum penalty in Virginia for the first conviction for driving under the influence is 12 months in jail, a $2,500 fine and a 12-month suspension of driving privileges.
