Antiques Roadshow Coming to Virginia

You must submit an application by April 8 for the ticket raffle.

Time to start looking through the attic for your hidden treasures.

The PBS series "Antiques Roadshow" is including Richmond in its eight-city 2013 summer tour, according to the show's online video announcement.

The show will be at the Greater Richmond Convention Center on August 17.  Tickets are free, but will be awarded through a random drawing from all eligible entries on April 8, according to executive producer Marsha Bemko.

"All ticket holders may bring two items for appraisal and will receive a free, verbal approximation of value for each item, regardless of whether they are selected to be taped for television," according to the website.

In addition, “The Roadshow Furniture Roundup” is looking for large pieces of furniture within a 50-mile radius of each tour site.

The other seven cities in the 2013 summer tour are:

  • Detroit, Mich. - June 1
  • Jacksonville, Fla. - June 8
  • Anaheim, Calif. - June 22
  • Boise, Idaho. - June 29
  • Knoxville, Tenn. - July 13
  • Baton Rough, La. - July 27
  • Kansas City, Mo. - August 10

Ticket applications and furniture submissions must be received by April 8, 2013. To enter the ticket raffle, obtain information on the furniture roundup and read all rules, visit pbs.org/antiques or call 1-888-762-3749.
