Washington-area photographer Bill Owen will hold a series of Valentine's Day-inspired photo sessions Sunday in Shirlington.
"I've always felt Valentine's Day to be the cultural holiday most attuned to dogs," Owen stated in an email to Patch.
"...There's no question that our pet dog loves us unconditionally. Valentine's Day is a great day to celebrate the bond between ourselves and our beloved dog(s)."
The 45-minute sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Wag More Dogs, 2026 S. Oxford St.
Interested dog owners should call Wag More Dogs at 703-845-3647 or call Owen at 301-455-5344 to book an appointment.
For each session, Owen will take 100 to 150 pictures and quickly flag the best 16 to 20 shots to show the customer. The owner will be allowed to pick two photos that will immediately be printed as 8-by-10 photos. The following week, Owen will email the owner the 16- to 20-shot gallery.
Each session costs $135. Owen is donating 10 percent of all proceeds to .
