The four-day tax holiday begins on the Friday before the second Monday of each October. In other words, it's now on, and just a short drive away.
Certain Energy Star and WaterSense products bought for non-commercial use and costing less than $2,500 will be exempt from sales tax through Columbus Day.
Among the Energy Star items you can buy tax-free: dishwashers, clothes washers, refrigerators, air conditioners, ceiling fans, compact flourescent light bulbs and dehumidifiers.
Exempt WaterSense items include toilets and faucets.
