Crumbs Bake Shops Closing Nationwide, Including DC Metro Area Locations

The company had two locations in Virginia and three in DC.

Crumbs Bake Shops are closing their doors nationwide, as of Monday, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

"Regrettably Crumbs has been forced to cease operations and is immediately attending to the dislocation of its devoted employees while it evaluates its limited remaining options," Crumbs told the Journal in a statement.

According to its Web site, the company had two shops in Northern Virginia: In Clarendon, at 2839 Clarendon Blvd., and at Tyson's, at 1961 Chain Bridge Road.

The company had three locations in DC: East End (604 11th St. NW), L Street (1107 19th St. NW) and Union Station.

Will you miss Crumbs? What do you think should be located in its place?
