Vote: Arlington's Mac's Donuts a Finalist in 'Great Doughnut Derby'

Voting on the Washingtonian's website ends at 5 p.m. Monday.

Arlington’s own Mac's Donuts is a finalist for the Washingtonian’s Great Doughnut Derby, which ends at 5 p.m. Monday.

“This would be huge for us,” said co-owner John "Mac" McIntire, who started Mac’s Donuts about four years ago with his wife, Ixi Dlandon.

Mac’s Donuts operates out of a food cart in Arlington and competed against 32 other doughnut makers in the Washingtonian contest. Mac's beat Courthouse-based Bayou Bakery to become one of today's finalists.
