is showing a 60-minute opera this weekend that performers describe as a look at the “absurdity of modern presidential politics.”
"Photo-Op," a political satire, is presented by UrbanArias, a new Washington-based company dedicated to producing short contemporary operas, according to its website.
Show organizers promise to include all the standard campaign staples, such as debates, stump speeches and, of course, photo ops.
Performances will take place: 8 p.m. on Saturday; 2 p.m. on Sunday; 8 p.m. on Sept. 14, and 8 p.m. on Sept. 15. Tickets are $22. Purchase tickets online or call Artisphere’s Box Office at 888-841-2787.
