"Love and Betrayal:" A song recital

Karen Vaughan (soprano) and Adrian Cook (baritone) accompanied by Patty Parker (piano) and Ben Keseley (triangle) present an evening of their favorite songs and arias around a melodramatic – but perhaps not too serious theme.   Their program ranges from high opera (the Soprano dying for love, of course), through art song (Shakespeare’s mistresses never co-operate) to low humor (doubtful snails and winsome crocodiles put in a brief appearance).

Works by Bach, Mozart, Massenet, Donizetti, and Handel as well as songs by Barber, Finzi and Quilter and one or two other less esteemed composers (including that old favorite “anon”)!
